Last year, Santacruz has made an investment of over $7.1 million in environmental management across its Bolivian operations. This funding supports a comprehensive strategy focusing on three main areas:

• Water Management: Sustainable practices reduce water usage, increase recycling, and ensure clean water access for surrounding communities.
• Emission Reduction: Efficiency measures and cleaner technologies help reduce greenhouse gas emissions at its Bolivian mines.
• Waste Management: Adhering to Canadian Dam Association and UNEP standards, Santacruz ensures safe tailings and waste management, minimizing environmental impact.

Social Initiatives

Over the past five years, Santacruz, through its Sinchi Wayra subsidiary, has invested more than $7.3 million in local community support, with a focus on education, family, and Indigenous rights. Key social initiatives include:

•  Education Support: Programs include teacher salaries, school breakfasts, scholarships, infrastructure upgrades, and transportation support.
• Environmental and Cultural Support: Initiatives like afforestation, wildlife conservation, and basic sanitation improve community health and support local customs.
• Community and Economic Development: Santacruz collaborates on infrastructure projects, workforce training, and microenterprise development to strengthen local economies.
• Respect for Indigenous Rights: The Company works with Indigenous communities to address concerns and protect culturally significant sites.
